Hey, I know my comment is 4 years after u made the video but can the dents and bumps be fixed. My locs are 9 months and I believe both me and my loc both have been inconsistent in the direction of the retwists. There are dents and in bumps all the way down. They look ok ish with a fresh retwist done w a comb from afar but any other state of the hair like after a wash or self done retwist or up close u can see dents and bumps, I don't believe now that it's bunching 😢

Normally I would wait until it's time for my retwist so the lady that does my hair to do it, because I like for her to use her products and the steam that she put to my hair, I don't know what good products to use, so I like for the lady to do it, any chance you can tell me what i should use for thin hair, my locs looks good, just wish it was a little more thicker, like yours.

Thanks for the great information, I have been growing my Locs now for 3 years, I use to get them done between 4-6 weeks, now I will go between 8-12 weeks, sometimes just a little bit longer, only because my hair is already thin, and I notice since I started my Loc journey, I have notice that getting them done to soon has been not helping me to keep them as healthy, so I'm still not sure what to do between my retwist, silk scarf doesn't stay on at night, product's that I used not sure if it's right to use, I have tried lit bit too many product's, I don't know what to use on my locs anymore, please help if you can, what you think I should try, what kind of product that you suggest, moisturizer, oil and conditioner, between my retwist, that I can try.

30 years FREEFORM...MY hair is Extremely long....But did start using CONDITIONER UNTIL RECENTLY...AND ONLY USE IT 4X A YEAR....KEY ???? I RINSE my hair at least 15 minutes in 🚿

God I am so confused. Everybody recommends different shampoos?? The only ones I’ve heard multiple times are dollylocks and knotty boy ?

Okay this is what I did to remove my lint, and I had bad lint that was hard in spots. Note that some of it is lint, and some of it is product build up like you get at the roots of braids. 1. I took a needle and went in and out until the hard spots started to break up. 2. Lathered my hair with warm coconut oil and kept it in for 30 mins 3. I did an ACV detox (twice) 4. I washed my hair with cream of nature argon oil shampoo. While the shampoo was in my hair I brushed (scrubbed) my locs with a boar bristle brush 5. Sat under the dryer for like an hour 6. Went back in with a needle and picked out any remaining lint I could see. My lint was really bad on about 20 or so locs. My locs are past waist length and I use to color (rinse) them red once a month so I didn’t realize how much lint and buildup was in my locs until I stop coloring. I make use I dry brush, then brush again with the shampoo on every other wash. It prevents it from coming back

I think we waited too long not understanding that we had to use tweezers to do this properly , on donuts …as I noticed tweezing the lock will weaken the hair , later breaking it off , I’ve seen many people with half of a lock which looks tacky ….so we will , my fiancé and I be dying these pieces of lint that have embedded in his locks .
